Hey guys, it's time again for another long update! Because of recent events, I have not been able to update the xanga as much as I would like. But now, this have been solved, and everything is fine, so, there are a list of things that are updated. Some may make you happy, others may not, so bear with me. :)
Most of the following updates will take effect next week, as we finish up our first round of the two weeks. Goodjob to all of those who helped out in the fundraiser these past two weeks, but, there are still 26 more weeks so let's keep going! Our current goal, is to reach $500 by Christmas break, which we are already half way there. So, keep working hard and we will get there in no time!
Now, there have been a lot of questions about why I am working when I'm not in the class council. Well, here's my story. On spirit week, our grade lost horribly, and I think it is obvious to everyone, why. I just want to unite our grade through this fundraiser so I am helping out. And for those that are complaining about me, you have the potential to help as well, but you are not, so I don't see why you guys should be complain. Also, I am not trying to take Vincent's spot and never had the intention to. I just felt that I could help out our grade, by taking care of the smaller things, and having them care about the larging more important things that go on in class council. But appearently, people do not feel that way so...
The first change is, that as of next week, there will be a change in the leaders. First, Maria is going to be out of the fundraiser and is going to care about more important class council things such as the formal or what not. Stephanie will be aiding her. On the other hand, Vincent and I will be in charge of the fundraiser. So, no longer will Maria be caring about your complaints, but Vincent and I will, so if you do have a complaint, come to us two first.
Another change is that we now have order cards. Now, the name and idea might sound weird, but I strongly think that it is benificial for the fundraiser. So, this is how it works, everytime a person orders something, we just hand the order card (which is an index card) to the people preparing the food. There are multiple cards so the cards dont' go back and forth. So basically, what this does is promotes silence, and accuracy. The silence part is obvious, but how does it make it more accurate? Whenever we shout orders, people tend to forget, and the customers are just standing there, waiting, and waiting. But having these cards, we can work fast and know what has to come next. Another thing is, but using these cards and counting how many were passed, we can have an accurate inventory count as well.
Now here comes the biggest change! Yay. The schedule has been majorly changed due to the fact that we are trying to promote class unity. So, people have been moved to different working weeks, and about three people have been moved to different working days. This was made because Maria and I felt that in order to promote class unity through this fundraiser, we will mix people around. And yes, while it is true that you might not like the people you are working with, there's no such thing as choose who your co-workers are, so live with it. The following schedule is... Other than there, there are not much updates, but if their are, again it will be posted and you will be notified. Tommrow, you will recieve a peice of paper with your name on it describing the changes in your schedule.

The first week of the fundraiser went pretty well, considering that we earned over a hundred dollars! So, let's make this week even better, even though there are only four days. Here is the week two schedule.
Monday - Howard Siu and Etienne Yu Tuesday - Howard Siu, Brendan Wong, and Etienne Yu Wednesday - Sammi Jeung, Janelle Wong, Ying Ying Wong Thursday - Sammi Jeung, Madeline Lee, Brendan Wong Friday - Madeline Lee, Janelle Wong, Ying Ying Wong
Maria and I have made some alternations to the roles of the people, so please read - (Repeat) Everyday there will be different people doing different roles, the roles goes as:
Cashier - Takes order/money, take counts, direct people to the "Pick-Up Here" spot, and shouts out orders. Serves cookies, and breakfast bars. Food Prep 1 - This person is in charge of the unwrapping of the cup of noodles. This include opening the lid half way and giving it to Food Prep 3. Food Prep 2 - (Most likely me) Is in charge of preparing all drinks, including hot cocoa, ovaltine, etc. Also pours milk tea. Prepares cups and lids for Food Prep 3. Food Prep 3 - (Most likely Maria/Nancy/Garmen) Is in charge of the water and serving. This person pours the water for the cup of noodles, hot cocoa, etc. and serves the food by putting the food on the "Pick-Up Here" sign and shouting out the order. Other - One person for that day can just sit aside and do their homework. (For those who absolutely need to) If anything needs to be done, this person will do it. This person is kind of like an errand runner.
You all might think this is too much, but, if/when we get it down, everyday will be smooth and simple. When we close, it is required of you to stay there until you receive an order from either me or Maria. Otherwise, you may not leave. If you any of you can come around 8:20 to help clean up, that would also be very nice.
Since there are advirtisements posted all over the school and we have already lost about one to two, please take care of the posters when you walk past them. If the tape is coming off, get new tape and tape it back. Please help these posters in good condition as some people actually tried on them.
There has been a change in the menu, so please refer to the price list in the binder. Person taking order should know all the prices. Cup of Noodles are a dollar, famous amos is 75c and grandma cookies and nutri-grain bars are 50c. All drinks are 75c. Only Cup of Noodles work in the combo so keep that in mind.
When people ask for Cup of Noodles, ask them if they want a dirnk with it and vise versa (sp).

Hey guys, as you know (or at least for the ones that are working) we run out of water, really fast, so, if you guys could bring your own hot water thermoses, that would help out a lot, but you don't have to. If the working poeple do bring some, we could probably serve about 4-5 cups of w/e, so, that would be very nice =P.
Another thing is, if you guys are not working, again, please do not get in the way. Again, because we already are sometimes slow at things, so, yeah. And don't just stand in the middle of the working area and stare because..yeah.
Anyways, for the poeple that are working, there's a few different roles (obviously). Usually, there are 5 people working in a day, if you do not have to work, it is recommended that you stand aside, but, here's the roles.
Taking orders and accepting money (Person A) - The person will stand on the right side of the table and take orders. Ask if they have their coupons and then stamp it. Then hand the money over to the next person (described after this) and shout out orders.
Person accepting money (Person B)- This person takes the money from person one and gives change if needed. Also stands on the right side of the table.
Person tallying marks/watching over food (Person C)- When orders are shouted out, they will take count. They are also in charge for whatever else comes along.
Person preparing food (Person D) - This person aids Person F in tearing food wrappings, pouring milk tea, scooping chrysanthemum tea, opening hot choco bags, etc.
Person preparing/serving food (Person F) - This person will fill be in charge of any hot water necessary food. Mainly hot choco and cup of noodles. They will stand on the far left side and shout orders when they are done.
So those are the basic roles. We will try every morning to get the roles down and then start working so everything will run smoothly and neatly. There have been further changes to the menu and please take a look
CHANGES All flavors (even though I'm sure that's not the word) of grandma cookies is 50 cents We are not selling orange juice, but we may finish it ourselves (for free). We added a new thing to the menu. And that is the Famous Amos Cookies, which sell for 75cents each!
Afterwards, we are not going to sell grandma cookies, because they come in a variety and unfortunable, peanut butter isn't that popular and it's being a roadblock (so to speak) in our breakfast, and people know Famous Amos and likes it anyways, so, we're probably going to sell that from now on.
I have restocked with more Cup of Noodles! This time half beef and half chicken, hopefully that sells more because the shrimp is also kind of a 'roadblock' for us. I have bought 60 (crazy) and hopefully it lasts until the end of next week.

Raise the hot chocolate price to $1.00 Make a gallon of Milk Tea daily instead of half a gallon Should people working on their non-designated days be able to work for hours

Hey guys, thank you for not messing around with things, but I still want to remind you that those are not working or helping out and are just talking, please move to a place where you are not blocking the workers, and also, please do not disturb the workers as well.

Ok, so today was the first day, and it was kind of shaky...well, very shaky, but some changes have been made.
For those of you that are not buying or doing anything, go away. Don't start taking things and hiding them, because we have more things to worry about. Do not be immature. Yeah, you guys might be laughing right now but think, if all you guys are going to do, is to stand there blocking the way, talking and soliciting, you are stopping our class from having business and earning money. So please, if you want to talk, to somewhere else.
People who are working tommrow include: Rachel Yee, Nancy Lai, and Nathan Ong Come by 7:45, and please do not be late.
Another thing is, if you are on the free food list, (check previous posts), obviously, you have five dollars of free food. If you decide not to use it, you will not be given back those five dollars.
We are trying to be nice by giving you back the ammount of money you payed, and paying the people who are working, but if anything happens like today, you will not get your money back or your hours will be deducted, so think before you act.
Other than that, I hope this post was not offensive or anything, but, if needed, action will be taken. Yes, we are trying to have control, but at the same time, we are trying to have fun. So please do not ruin it for everyone.
